Record sales reached 377,000 copies, making it Shima’s biggest hit. Shima said he knew it would be a hit when he heard the demo tape. It is also popular as a cheering song for Japanese high school baseball teams. In 2018, the performers covered it as the theme song for the Nippon TV Sunday drama “Kyo Kara Ore wa!!” under the name “Kyo Ore Band”.
