Aiko’s fourth major single. Released by Pony Canyon on November 17, 1999. This is the first release in about 3 months since the previous work “Fireworks”. “Kabutomushi” was used as the ending theme for TBS’s “CDTV” in December 1999, and as the ending theme for Fuji Television’s “Jobireba!?”. Aiko thinks, “Beetles are said to be the strongest insects, but just by peeling off one layer of their shell, they become soft and brittle, so they’re actually lonely insects.” So she falls in love, putting on a bluff to protect herself.
