A Japanese song released in 1913 (Taisho 2) with lyrics by Kazumasa Yoshimaru and music by Akira Nakada. From 2006 to 2007, it was selected as one of the “Top 100 Japanese Songs” by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Japan PTA National Council. The song is said to be about the early spring scene in the Azumino area from Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, and Yoshimaru, who visited the old Nagano Prefectural Omachi Junior High School (predecessor of Nagano Prefectural Omachi High School) to compose the school song, was struck by the coldness of Omachi and Azumino.
